Fun and cheap date idea in SF Bay area

If you are in the SF Bay area I have a great cheap date idea for you:
Sake tasting at Takara Sake in Berkeley, then sober up with an Indian snack at Vik's, nearby.

Choose from several flights of sake for $5.00 per flight. The novice flight had 7 types of sake, but there were 2 or 3 other flights to choose from. Once you're happy and full of sake, adjourn to Vik's for cheap, delicious Indian food. Vik's not only made the Chronicle's list of Top 100 Restaurants, it is one of only 3/100 that qualify as cheap!

A friend and I went Saturday and he spent $5.00 for the tasting for each of us, and we ordered 2 entrees at Vik's which came to about $13.00.

That's really cheap for this neck of the woods, plus it's international, and fun!
